Barbados is quite simply one of the most beautiful places to visit in the world. There is just so much to do here that it was incredibly difficult selecting just a few highlights of such a wonderful island paradise. Please don’t regard this as a ‘definitive’ list though, for there is much more to see and do, and if you visit Barbados you will discover a lot of other things not mentioned here.

Visit Bottom Bay Beach for some of the most beautiful, white sandy beaches that you have ever experienced. Look up and you will find that the area is landscaped by fantastic cliffs and littered with palm trees. It really is so incredibly tranquil. You could quite easily spend your entire vacation hiding away here.
Cattlewash Beach isn’t a place frequented by tourists. It’s hard to know why really. It is just so beautiful here. Great for a nature lover. The entire area is peppered with beautiful flowers. Although the water close by is pretty calm to visit.
Now, what good would a trip be to Barbados without a bit of surfing involved? For the ultimate surfing head to Bathsheba Beach. It’s where the majority of professional surfers on the island like the ‘ride the waves’. You should be able to pick up a few handy hints and tips from them if you have never surfed before!
It isn’t just about the beaches though. If you are a keen nature lover, whether it be of the animal type or the plant type then there is plenty for you to do and see, whether you are by the beach or heading inland a little. These are some of the highlights that have been carefully picked out:
Visit the Barbados Wildlife Reserve to have a bit of fun with the monkeys here. It is also an incredibly beautiful place to be. So don’t forget to have your camera ready!
There is are numerous ‘diving’ trips where you can explore the beautiful wildlife below the surface. Don’t like diving? Have no fear, there is a submarine tour which will also take you fifty feet below the water.
In certain locations around the island you will be able to swim with leather-back turtles. This really is one of the biggest ‘highlights’ of a trip to Barbados. After all, how often would you be able to get to do this normally?

What else is there to do? Well you can sample the delicious culinary delights from various restaurants around the island. There really isn’t just ‘one’ to pick, as they are all equally as delicious.
